Living the Christian Life
So, what does it mean to live the Christian life? Simply put, living the Christian life is living a life surrendered to God. The Christian life meaning is sacrificing your way for God’s way.
There are many biblical principles to live by but if your motive is to strictly check off a “done” box, you’ll quickly burn out and lose. Trust me, I know. Christianity is a way of life rooted in Jesus Christ.
God does not ask us to live for Him in our own strength. Christian living is through Jesus Christ and relying on Him throughout each day. Living the Christian life God’s way takes heart transformation and a desire to serve God above all things.
We’re living with our eyes fixed on the eternal. We’re seeking God’s Kingdom in our day so that we can share it far and wide!

Power of Prayer
Living the Christian life must involve prayer. As Christians, we have the authority of Jesus and bring so much power through prayer.
Serve Others
Practical Christian living and living the Christian life is serving God and serving others. Jesus has modeled this through his sacrifice and humility which led him to the cross.
The world craves selfishness, pride, and greed. Serving others is the complete opposite and a powerful way to live like Jesus.
Living the Christian Life – Renew Thinking
With a new heart, Christian living begins with renewed thinking. The old has passed away and it is now time to live with the mind of Christ.
What you think about matters. It impacts your mood, behavior, and choices. While each item on this Living the Christian Life Guide is important, I can’t emphasize enough the value of renewed thinking.
Be Alert
Christian living today is getting harder and harder. You are meant to be alert because there is an enemy that daily fights to steal, kill, and destroy your faith walk.
Living the Christian life requires you to recognize this and live accordingly. Arm yourself with scriptures and truth.
Love Others
When asked, “What is Christian living?” If one word were required to answer that question, it would be love. We love because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19 NIV)
Living the Christian life requires love. Love for God and love for others.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-39

Living the Christian Life – Gather Together
Christian living is not meant to live solo. Believers make up the body of Christ – The Church. We need each other to encourage, spur on, fellowship, grow in faith, pray, and gather as believers.
Whether it’s church each week, bible study, home church, or any form of regular gatherings, we are meant to meet together as Christians.
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:23-25
The Importance of Unity in the Church
Remain Faithful
In an ever-changing world, remain faithful in your Christian life. When temptations arise, when distractions of the world seem alluring, when you want to give up, when you doubt if it’s worth it, remain faithful.
We serve a faithful God that has pledged Himself to us. He is always faithful and abounding in grace when we miss the mark. Rely on Him and stay true to Christian living.

When you live your Christian life in the security, knowledge, and freedom of being a child of God, everything changes.
Embracing Your Identity in Christ
Give Thanks
Practical Christian living comes from a heart of thankfulness. The Lord has showered us with blessings and poured His goodness upon us. Every single day when the sun comes up, He continues to show his faithfulness.
Living the Christian life seeks to give thanks to God.
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16
