When our son plays soccer, he knows when he hears, “Finish Strong!” from the sidelines he has 10 minutes left in the game. For years we’ve spoken to him about finishing strong and pouring his heart into the last 10 minutes of the game.
It’s easy to start a game ready to play. The game gets a lot tougher when you’re thrown down, banged up, hurt, sore, tired, and worn out.

- Be confident of this: that He who began a good work in you will carry it through to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Phil. 1:6)

Personally, the passage in Hebrews 12 is the most powerful bible verses about finishing the race strong to me as it contains the secret to do so.
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
This leads us to ask, “How do we run with endurance the race God has set before us?”
How do we finish strong and run with endurance each day?

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.
Paul goes on a few verses later in Hebrews 12:12:

- Pausing to Be Still and Know that God is God
