Do you have a weekly prayer schedule? I haven’t always followed a prayer schedule but recently I set aside a day to pray specifically for this ministry each week and it became such a sacred time, I am sharing ideas for creating your own weekly prayer guide and schedule!

Weekly Prayer Schedule

Whether you use a weekly prayer schedule or not, daily conversing with God throughout our day on all topics is a given. Having a weekly prayer schedule can help guide your prayers to focus on specific topics for particular days.

For me, I set aside Monday to pray for the ministry of Raise Your Sword. I’d pray for YOU and your prayer requests, for my diligence in pursuing God and honoring Him with this site, and for serving Him faithfully through this venue.

Monday’s became so special in this dedicated time with the Lord. For a typical day, I pray throughout the day to God but for Monday’s a lot of my prayers were focused on that particular topic and the intention of seeking God’s heart ministered immensely to my soul.

This weekly prayer schedule has become such a blessing to me, I’m so excited to share it with you! Praying focuses our attention on God. Our thoughts become centered on Him as we pray and we’re renewed and refreshed as we seek His heart throughout the day.

Weekly Prayer Guide

You can use this weekly prayer guide to guide your prayers by topic for each day of the week. I’ve included it as a download if you’d like to use it! It also has a blank page in case you’d like to create your own specific prayer guide if there are other areas in your life that you’d like to add to it.

This weekly prayer schedule is just a suggestion of ideas to help guide you and hopefully spark some ideas of your own to make it personal! It’s a 7 Day Prayer Plan with a topical focus of prayers each day of the week.

7 Day Prayer Plan

Mission Monday – Pray for your church, missions, missionaries, or any venues you serve in or ministries that you are involved in.

Thanksgiving Tuesday – Spend time thanking God and praising Him for who He is and what He’s done and is doing in your life. Ask Him to reveal to you ways He’s working around you and in you. Give Him praise and honor for all things.

World Wednesday – Pray for your nation, its leaders, and our world. Pray for government leaders, your local community, and the spread of the gospel throughout the world.

Throne Thursday – Pray that God reigns over your life and you walk following His leading. Ask God to show you areas and help you where He needs to be moved to His proper place in your life.

Family & Friends Friday – Use this day to focus on your family and friends. Pray for your spouse, your children, parents, siblings, friendships, and relationships. Pray for their specific prayer requests or how the Lord prompts you to pray for them.

Salvation Saturday – Pray for those you know that are unbelievers or for those that are seeking God. Pray for the unsaved and for boldness to share the Lord with those you encounter.

Surrender Sunday – Pray that your life is daily surrendered to the Lord. Ask God to search your heart and confess any sins that you may find yourself entangled in. Pray for forgiveness and God’s mercy.
