Waiting on God is rarely easy but as we wait for the Lord, we can wait with certainty that He will do all that He’s said He would. Faith is built in the waiting and as we grow in faith, our expectation and hope of His promises will grow as well. You’ll see through these scriptures that as we’re waiting on God, we can wait in eagerness and expectation for God to come through for us! He alone is where our salvation and victory comes from.
The more I spend time on this series on waiting on God, the more I realize we meet God in the waiting. He fulfills everything He says He will do! As the Psalmist repeatedly says, “Be strong and take heart” as you wait for the Lord.
Why is it important to wait on God?
Through these 30 Waiting on God Scriptures, why is it important to wait on God? Lamentations 3:25-26 ESV answers this for us: The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
So simply, God’s Word tells us it is good for those who wait for the Lord. To the soul who seeks God, it is good. We can never go wrong trusting and waiting for God to come through. For the times we lose heart and struggle with impatience and unbelief, take heart! He remains faithful!
