My son and I are trying to memorize Psalm 103 together. That’s 22 verses to be exact. He has no idea it’s that long and we’ve already memorized up to verse six. I just keep adding to it every couple of days! So far so good. But here’s where the free gratitude journal idea came in.
Psalm 103 starts with these words, “Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.”
Enter: Gratitude journal book idea!
When you’re memorizing scripture, you dwell on the words, and little by little, God uses them to take root in your heart. I’ve thought so much about those words, “may I never forget the good things he does for me.”
This sparked the idea to put those good things on paper and begin a gratitude workbook of sorts.

Do Gratitude Journals Really Work?
This guided gratitude journal truly helps spur your heart to appreciation and gratitude just as Psalm 103 shows us.
What is so fascinating and powerful about Psalm 103 is it goes straight into listing what we can be thankful for! David, the Psalmist, recognizes who God is and what He does and this very process leads him to praise! This Free Gratitude Journal will help guide you to do the same!
He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! The Lord gives righteousness and justice to all who are treated unfairly.
The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.
For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. Psalm 103:3-6, 8-12 NLT
If you’re interested in memorizing scripture, I’d encourage you to join me in learning Psalm 103. A little practice each day goes a long way! We’re promised that God’s word never returns void! (Isaiah 55:11)
