I recently came across four powerful Promises of God that we can trust for each day. I know these promises of God will encourage you as well! Do you ever read your bible and the words just pop off the page as if they were highlighted just for you?
It’s one of my favorite things about the bible. It truly is living and active as Hebrews 4:12 explains.
You do not have to spend hours upon hours reading the bible for this to happen. Some days, reading just a few verses will speak so clearly to your heart. And even some days, it just takes one verse alone to grab your attention. This is from Isaiah 46, specifically verse 4.

4 Promises for Each Day
Isaiah 46:4 gives us four powerful promises. Take time to consider God’s words to us and believe that what He says is true. These promises can have a monumental effect on your life.
“Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” Isaiah 46:4 (NIV)
Reread those words and let those promises sink in.
Promise #1: I Will Sustain You
God tells us He will sustain us. What an amazing promise! Wherever we find ourselves, God promises to sustain us as we go through it.
When you find yourself tired, weak, and dragging, God never grows tired, He never grows weary and He will in fact, endure until the end.
The world cannot deliver on this promise, only God alone can. It’s easy to get distracted from this promise and think we can sustain ourselves. Maybe for a period of time we can carry the part, but maintaining this status is a sure path to burnout.
God sustains us and gives us strength and nourishment.
It is only when we try to attempt this life on our own that we will crash and burn.
Trust His word and rest in this promise that He will sustain you.
Promise #2: I Have Made You and Will Carry You
To me, this is such a beautiful picture of our Heavenly Father talking to His children. He is telling us He knows us full well. God made us. He knows every detail about us and God, our Heavenly Father, will carry us.
This is both a declaration and a promise.
He’s almost pleading for us to hear him and believe His heart for us. I made you. I will carry you.
As a parent, this really resonates with me. Parents know their children best. We know when our kids have reached their limit or when they need us to step in.
He will carry us – highs or lows in life, He is there.
God is our Heavenly Father that knows us best because He created us. He is the Potter that made us and will carry us through whatever life brings our way.
Promise #3: I Will Sustain You
This is one of the many things I love about God. He’s intentional with what He says and there is a purpose for us to hear this promise twice.
We desperately need it.
It isn’t enough to promise us once that He will sustain us. He knows us better than that. He repeats it. Reiterates. He wants us to really believe what He says because He knows we need to hear it.
This world is exhausting and our own efforts will never sustain us. He promises (again) that He will.
I want to share these verses in Isaiah 40 as well. It’s a teeny tiny piece of God’s resume for the position of Sustainer. He wins with flying colors.
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31 (NIV)
Believe He will sustain you and rest in this promise.
Promise #4: I Will Rescue You
God is the God of Hope. The final promise in this verse is that He will rescue you.
I think it is particularly God-like to end an already power-packed promise list with a final promise of hope and salvation.
Nothing in this world holds a candle to God.
Consider this, in one verse alone He is the Sustainer, Creator, Father, and Rescuer.
I pray you know Him in each way!
Powerful Promises Can Impact Everything
These four promises are from one verse alone. To see your faith deepen, believe these four promises in your day to day.
For additional daily promises from God, this is an awesome daily devotional.
Dwell on each of these promises and ask God for help in believing them. Try life God’s way and believe His words.

Call to Action
This Call to Action is two-fold. To begin, open your bible to Isaiah 46:4 sometime today to read these promises from your own bible. This will help make them real and tangible and not just words on a screen.
Secondly, pick a promise you struggle to believe and ask God to meet you right where you are. It’s important to not limit God with a certain criteria of terms. Trust Him to follow through on His word.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for your Word that you have given to us. We thank you for these promises and ask for your help in not only believing these each day, but also living with these promises as our anchors in You. Amen.
